Personal Injury Solicitor/Fee Earner

Our team continues to benefit from a growth in new instructions and we are looking for a newly qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our Part 7 RTA Claims Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for fast track matters where liability and/or causation is disputed. The duties include assessing and advising clients on the merits and value of their claim. Engaging in settlement negotiations with insurance representatives or their solicitors, drafting court documents, schedules of loss and thereafter all steps to final hearing.

Job Specification

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the client obtains the appropriate level of compensation for their personal injury and losses, in accordance with regulations and legislation.
• Deliver a level of Client Care in accordance with SRA regulations
• Accurate drafting of legal document
• Maximise Damages and Costs in accordance with the relevant costs regime

Key Requirements

• Ability to manage fast-track personal injury matters with appropriate supervision
• Knowledge of liability, medical and factual causation issues, together with past and future losses and ability to schedules of loss and particulars of claim
• Confident and appropriate telephone skills
• Team ethic, cooperative and flexibility.
• Commitment, drive and a people person
• A commitment to professional development.
• Excellent ICT skills
• Excellent organisation and communication skills

Desirable Requirements:
• Knowledge of Proclaim case management systems
• Previous credit hire experience
• 1-3 years PQE or equivalent

Applicants without previous credit hire experience would also be considered as full training and support will be provided to the successful candidate. We would also welcome applications from paralegals with appropriate skills and experience.
